EveryOne Counts©
provides individualized math assistance for second and third graders who teachers have identified as struggling to understand math concepts. VIPS recruits, trains, and assigns volunteer Math Friends in public schools. The volunteer works with his/her student from one to three times per week using items such as dominoes and playing cards to assist in reinforcing math concepts. Partners In Education
VIPS promotes community involvement in public schools by informing businesses, civic groups, and faith-based organizations of the needs of schools and the opportunities to make a difference. Voyage
goal setting, career exploration and life skills lessons for the student beginning in the seventh grade and continuing through high school. A Voyage Captain begins working one-on-one with a student in seventh grade and follows that student through high school to inspire and motivate the student to graduate from high school, to continue on to secondary education or training, and to follow a clear career path. Tutoring Sites List
VIPS compiles a list of organizations that provide free tutoring at sites across the Parish. The list is disseminated to all schools in the school system and is available on this Web site. Click here to access Tutoring List.
VIPS is charged by the Superintendent’s office with producing and supplying volunteer-related data collection materials to all schools in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. The information is used to compile required year-end report of

VIPS trains community members to volunteer in public schools. VIPS trains school representatives to manage in-house volunteer programs.
